Daniella Nassar is a Cypriot-Lebanese media composer, pianist, and cellist based in London. Drawing on her classical training and multicultural roots, Daniella crafts music that blends emotional depth with contemporary innovation, always driven by a passion for storytelling through sound. Her work spans film and television, concert music, and dance.
Her scoring credits include both narrative and documentary projects such as the feature film Teddy and the Mountain (2024), the award-winning short What If? (Best Fiction Short – FECIMU 2024), Moonshot (2023), and the documentary Zealandia (2023), among others. In 2022, she received an Honourable Mention in the FMF Young Talent Award and conducted her score at the Penderecki Centre in Lusławice, Poland. More recently, she was named a Top 10 Finalist in the 2025 Oticons Faculty Film Scoring Competition.
Daniella has also composed for interdisciplinary works including dance, with her music premiered in Cyprus as part of the Artist in Process: Emerging event. Her musical voice seamlessly integrates orchestral richness with modern sound design, shifting fluidly between sweeping, cinematic themes and delicately textured, intimate moments.
As a pianist, Daniella has performed in distinguished venues in London, Italy, Greece and Cyprus and holds multiple awards from prestigious competitions such as 1st Prize in the Sratford and East London Concerto Competition, 1st Prize in the Gladys Puttick Improvisation Competition. She recently had her debut as a soloist with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.
Daniella holds a Master’s in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music and a First-Class Honours degree in Piano Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
